Hi everyone! My husband and I got 3 hens a few months back after our city changed the code allowing us to have them. We have 3 Rhode Island reds and we love having them. We noticed that every now and then that one ( not sure if it's the same one) would start running from one end of the run to the other and squeaking, running into everything, running under the coop, jumping, running in circles until it would get under the fence or under the coop and then it would stumble away with its mouth open. When I noticed this today it also happened to be this first day we had an egg, but it wasn't warm so I'm not sure that this episode was immediately after the egg laying . It was however immediately after I opened their door to the coop to be let out to the run this morning. They have been acting completely normal since. Being new to chickens I'm not sure if this is normal or not? I hope I've given enough information. Thank it so much!
