I have purchased various birds from Metzers over the years, including a pair of pilgrim geese this month. Without exception, every bird I have received has been extremely healthy. I had a small group of similar sized ducks in the brooder the day my ducks and geese arrived and the Metzers birds stood out as better quality (this despite a 2 day trip from California to Illinois in a box). I have never had a dead bird from them, so can't speak to the experience of the earlier post.
