First time incubating -- Now I know what all the fuss is about.

I've always wondered at the number of hatching threads and "I'm on lockdown -- HELP" emergency threads.  Now that I have my first ever batch of incubator eggs being locked down tonight I totally, totally get it.

Does every minute from now until day 21 feel like 10 hours?  Yes.   Have I convinced myself they are all going to hatch? Yes.  Have I convinced myself none are going to hatch?  Yes.  Am I a nervous wreck?  YES!!!

So, I've got 10 eggs in the Brinsea and 5 other eggs under a broody hen.  All due to hatch on the same schedule.  My husband is taking bets on how many miles I will log jogging between the coop to check on the hen and the basement to check on the incubator.
