I'm having problems with my temp :( It's been running fine at 100.5-101.5 (still air) and today I went on lockdown and left for a few hours and when I came back, the temp was only at 97. First, is this bad? And second, what do I do?

Did you just add water to increase humidity? This could be bringing the temperature down until the water heats up. I also find in my still air LG the higher the humidity the higher I have to adjust the temperature to be. It seems that higher humidity brings the temperature down unless I adjust for it.

I do have a LG... I'm a newbie though. The temp has just lowered to 96 :/ I raised it, so I will see how that goes in a while. I did add water and the humidity is at 68.

Yeah, LGs are finicky. Mine has just been slowly going up over the last few days even though nothing has changed so I have to keep turning it down so it doesn't cook my eggs. Thank goodness my second Brinsea arrived today so I can move them all into it.

My temp hasn't gone up at all. It's still right at 97 is going to be ok? The humidity raised to 75. I have the dial turned all the way up and still no success with temp rise. What else can I do. I don't want them to die!

97 might cause a late hatch, but it shouldn't kill them. Are you positive your thermometer is accurate and the extra humidity hasn't thrown it off or something? I just don't want you to accidentally cook them!

I have two thermometers in there right now. I was thinking the same thing! They both read close to the same thing: around 97.

Sounds like it's probably really 97 then. Just keep an eye on it because as the humidity comes down as the water dries up, the temperature will go back up. My LG does that to me every time
