Hi BYC friends!

Has anyone ever had trouble finding cute chicken shirts?

I have seen just a few that I thought were worth buying because they had a cute saying on it, but most of them are pretty pricey.

I have 2 girls that are crazy about chickens. They are 9 and 10. My 10 year old daughter is more into horses for a hobby but my 9 year old is our "chicken whisperer". She asked me if I could find her a cute chicken shirt to wear. We searched google with not much luck. Of course, there were tons of shirts for girls to do with horses. So this mama took matters into her own hands.

She told me what she wanted and I designed it on my computer.

I have a machine that can cut out heat transfer vinyl and then I apply it with a heat press. The mint colored shirt she found was less than $5.00. Here is the finished result!

My mother wanted a shirt as well to show off her chicken pride. The pink shirt is what she requested to have on her shirt. Let me know what you think! The possibilities are endless and I will be making more in the future. My daughter is in love with her chicken shirt and has already requested more.

Wow! I love those. You have a knack for design.

What machine are you using to cut the vinyl transfers?

Here is another one I made for my mom. She found one similar online but wanted it to say something a little different. She loved how it turned out!! So do I :)

Here is another one I made for my daughter who is crazy about chickens. This one gets quite a few smiles and laughs from random strangers.

Thank you! I enjoy a challenge and just playing around with different ideas. I have a Silhouette Cameo. Absolutely LOVE that machine!

Thank you so much for the info.

I did buy one "Crazy Chicken Lady" tee when I first got my flock - I like the design, but the t-shirt is scratchy

Have thought about getting or making a stencil, or creating an embroider to make my own, but never saw the home designing/cutting machines.....and now I am obsessed

And thinking of a thousand things to do with one:)
After seeing your first t-shirt posts started searching ... and the Silhouette Cameo is the one that screams at me

Most reviews are excellent, but quite a number list disappointment - but that's usual for everything one can research.

Thinking about ordering one

If so, may have to get some pointers .... the machine is just a machine....but your designs are the MAGIC

I would highly recommend the Silhouette. I have a few friends that have Cricuts and have converted over to the Silhouette. You can do SO many things with this machine. If you can think it up, you can do it!! Let me know what I can do to help. It takes a little bit to get used to the machine and software but it's so worth it!!
