We have two about 3 month old turkeys (we raise 2 each year) who live with our new same aged flock of chicks, they have an outdoor yard around their coop that they get cooped in at night, yesterday evening i went out to do their feed/water and i noticed one of the turks was sitting funny, crouched body, low head and i was going to slowly walk up and try to examine but he got startled and instead of normally walking away, he fell over when he tried(very off balance) and kind of rolled back onto his crouched position on his feet and closed his eyes. My fiance came and we placed him in a cage to be on his own, he ate a few bites when i put him in but didnt see it ever go for water, this morning my fiance said he was still just very crouched, slow labored breathing and prefers to keep its eyes shut. He'll be bringing home some antibiotics tonight but im not sure... it seems like its little tail feather could be messed up but im having difficulty finding information as to wether this would cause the off balance or not! any suggestions/insight is much appreciated!
