A mother duck was struck and killed by a car the night before last. The eggs were out for about 24-28 hours and it got pretty cold over night here in Michigan. I have brought the eggs in till I reach a rescue to take them. I don't know how old the eggs are or any of that. I tried candling and I'm not sure if they survived. I have them on a heating pad on a damp towel with a heating pad on top of the bowl as well I'm keeping them at 99 degrees. If i post a picture of the egg with the light would anyone be able to help me determine if they are alive. Is it even possible with them being outside all night? Also should I take them off the damp towel? I have been turning them every 6 hours. Thank you so much! I just want to save them if possible

They definitely could still be alive. I incubated a sole surviving egg from a couple of egg smashing kids. There are charts you can look at that will help you but if you post pictures of the candles eggs I'm sure a lot of people on the forum could help (including myself).

Setting the egg in an empty toilet paper roll can make the embryo easier to see

Chickengal512 is right. It's hard to tell because you didn't do that but they look alive from what I can tell but because the light isn't concentrated on them (as a toilet paper roll would do) I couldn't tell for sure or judge how old they might be
