hello, i looked around before posting.. didnt see anything that helped me. i recently bought a couple barred rock babies, and didnt notice until after we got home that one of them is.. swollen? her under vent is basically bald, and extremely swollen. it is not pasty butt. we have no troubles with eating or using the potty. the only problem that we are having (im not sure if this is an issue related to this swollen area), is that she struggles with transitioning from laying/sitting to standing. she will fall over on her side, flap around maniacally, take a breather, then retry and will stand unsteadily. her chirps arent stressed.
i read somewhere on google, a person said that one of their chicks had this.. and that eventually it exploded.
any help PLEASE?! im a newb, dont want my baby to suffer, and am wondering what kind of quality of life she will have if this never goes away.. ive tried the warm water for the butt and fed her yogurt.
