So far I'm gonna go with pullet. I'm not seeing pointed saddle feathers.
Perhaps it might be hatchery quality.....

True, though I don't know anything about the "barring sexing", so even if she was purebred I wouldn't know anything about that way of sexing.

And without an age, you can't base it off of lack of visible male feathering, since those usually aren't visible until about 12 weeks of age.

Seriously thinking she is a he. The chicken is question is 5 months old and some of the feather tips have the blue black sheen to them. Also no he is a mix probably we hatched from a male BR and have reds, Br, and sL Wyandotte females. Everyine lays in the smae box so who knows the mom.

Do you have any recent pictures of the bird? It's been a few weeks now, we can probably be more certain about gender.
