Kate's Sassy Seramas

Pics
Life has been so hectic!!! I had to sell a majority of my seramas due to not having enough time, but I still have 2 pairs and a trio. Just for fun I thought I would show you the age progression of one of my best seramas,Spartan :)

Beautiful!

I haven't posted in a while.

It has been a miserable time here in TN. It has been hot, humid, and wet for most of the spring/summer with one health problem after another. Flooding and disease have claimed most of my serama and others. Predators got even more. I've a serama roo with four hens. Two half-grown cockerels were the only serama survivors until a hen came off the nest with seven healthy chicks-now ten days old and doing great.

Kate-two hens from eggs I got from you are among those that have survived so far. One is the mom to the seven chicks-the other is brooding four eggs.

I have a number of breeds. The breed that has done the best this year--Silkies. None died from weather or disease. Two were taken by predators. One clutch failed to hatch for no obvious reason-possibly weather related.

How has everyone else done this season?

My girls have multiplied like rabbits :gig

Sorry you have experienced so much trouble.

I can't believe it has been over a year since I posted on this thread; looks like no one else has either.

I still have a small flock of ten serama. Kate-All ten are descendants of your birds in one way or another. I still have one hen from the eggs I bought-she will soon hatch another batch of chicks.

Any other serama nuts out there or am I on my own?
