I have 27 BO's that are 11 weeks old and I can't tell the difference between Roos and hens yet, any tips? At this point I'm freaking out because I think I have all roo's :/

Roosters will have big red combs and wattles, hens will still have orange or ones that are just getting pink but they will be quite small yet. Photos would help.

Sorry I'm a little late with the pictures, it's the last week of school and the kids are going crazy (I am a little too) and of course as a proud father I had to throw in the pic of my favorite "chick"

They are big already. Your favorite chick is adorable and I would say pullet. Sorry that's my bad joke.

To me many look like hens about to lay and some are roosters. Are you sure of their ages? The picture before your daughter looks like a hen, the third photo looks like a pair of roosters on the left. The darker ones I believe are roosters. I would post a few in the breed and gender forum where folks are pretty good at it.

They are almost 14 weeks old I'm pretty certain on that cause I had them for 13 of those weeks, but the guy I got them from might have been a little high. I have a student that I gave 4 chickens but seems to be crowing so i really just want to make sure I have enough hens before I give one to the student. Thanks for the help I also posted in the gender thread.

Is there anything I need to be doing to encourage laying right now?

If I'm right that there's females they will lay without encouragement. If they are actually that age they might all be roosters, best to wait for a more expect eye, or at least someone who is better with photos, in person I'm good, but photos throw me. Good luck with some being hens.
