Self blue oegb color crossing

Hi :welcome

Glad you could join the flock! Colours and genetics are not my strong point but I see you have posted in the genetics sections. Hope members there are able to help you. You might like to have a look at this link too ~ http://kippenjungle.nl/kruising.html

Good luck and enjoy BYC :frow

Self-blue is recessive, so it takes two copies to express. When crossed with another color, they breed like a solid black bird. You will produce mostly black chicks that will be 'split' for self-blue, meaning each chick will have a self-blue gene, but not express the color.
Are there any colors of hens that would create chicks with colors besides black? I have a self blue rooster but I don’t want all black chicks!
