I have 2 Kosher King week old chicks. They have been fine up until this morning and now are acting strange. they are very wobbly when they walk, they haven't seemed to want to walk much this morning. One leg seems weak, and they just seem off balance. They will go over to the water and food and eat some, they seem bright eyed. I separated them this morning from the rest. Not sure what to do. They are on Purina non-medicated chick starter (which I have been using for years), i added a scrambled egg to the feed. Wondering what can I do? Will electrolytes work? do they need pro-biotics?
Thanks

When I had a listless chick I went to the feed store for Save-a-Chick electrolytes and probiotics. The chicks really liked it and at a minimum it encouraged hydration because of that. Nutridrench is also frequently recommended here. My chick had a runny butt, the vent wasn't pasted over but below it was always wet so I also treated the flock with Corid.

Good luck!
