Hello I was told maybe start a thread to ask help on a sick hen. Shes moving very slow and not eating much , she has a brown greenish tinge poop on her backside. Any suggestions on illness, cures?

How old is she? Is she laying eggs? Hens can suffer from many different illnesses, some related to reproductive illnesses such as internal laying and egg yolk peritonitis. Check her crop for normal emptying by morning, look for mites and lice on her skin around the vent and elsewhere, look at her breasrpt and keel for loss of weight, or tightness or enlargement of the lower abdomen. Has she been wormed recently?

I gave her a warm bath, cleaned up her backside, I did feel a large amount of liquid in her crop, might it be sour crop? I've quarantined her and out apple user vinegar in her water. Any suggestions?
