Can someone tell me if i've got a male or female on my hands? about 9 weeks old.

The breeder i got it from said barred rocks but this one looks nothing like the others.

Please help!! hoping for a female!!

It looks to be a barred Cochin, definitely not a Rock with those feathered legs! I'm on the fence about gender. My Cochin boys usually have a big red comb before 9 weeks. Yours doesn't have a huge comb, but it does have quite a bit of color.

Agreed. 9 weeks old cochins usually leave no doubt on sex. I think its a pullet personally. Or a very slow maturing cockerel if it is. But I'm leaning heavily towards pullet.

I'm leaning towards pullet. I have 4 barred Cochins, and 2 are obviously cockerels. Mine are only about 5 weeks old, but their combs are already quite big. They're also A LOT lighter in color. On one, what's black on your pullet is light grey on my cockerel. The other isn't as light, but still obviously lighter then yours and my 2 I think are girls. I'll try to get some pictures of them today to share. It's raining here, so I'll have to wait for it to clear up hmm.png

Barred cochins cockerels do tend to be lighter. 99% sure you've got a pullet there.
