This is one of 2 cages I made. They are 120 Quart plastic containers, 28" long x 16" wide x 15" high. I used a glue gun to glue window screen on the top and used 1/2" square wire for the front. Works well and the quail seem to b happy. Dave.

Keep us posted! I'm especially curious because I just finished my second coop yesterday and I'm wondering how it's going to go over with the babies.

I have a tendency to design for me....and I overbuild, and I decorate.....wondering if you might have a better philosophy!

Precious,
I try to make thing simple but adequate. I do have 2 cages, one I bought and the other I made. Cages cost a lot of money so I will, if needed build them myself out of plastic storage containers. I just added a food and water deck to one pair of our button quail as an experiment to keep the water and food cleaner. There is enough room underneath for nesting or whatever I will send a picture or 2 after I test it.

Dave

Please do! I'm waiting for the daily humboldt drizzle to clear up so I can take pictures of my Rustic barn inspired coop ....
