My rooster is not well

I think bout dubbing, does it hurt them too much when it bleeds?
& I don't know bout it too that's why I'm asking you, maybe you can tell me someone who knows bout them? So I can ask them?

Here is one discussion of dubbing for you: https://www.backyardchickens.com/t/139173/dubbing

...and another: https://www.backyardchickens.com/t/587030/need-help-asap-how-to-dub-waddles-comb-for-the-winter

Generally, I am against dubbing a comb for any reason, unless it has severe frostbite and the tissue will die anyway, but that's not technically dubbing, it's emergency medical treatment. Just read through some of those threads for different opinions on that.

My blue Orp hen, Dusty, did lose the sight in her one eye from her comb flopping into it and keeping bacteria in it, if you remember me telling you about it, but I just never wanted to cut it off. It was so pretty until she ripped the back of it on the fence and it began to hang over her left eye. They do bleed, it does cause some pain for a bit, I'm sure. If you go to those threads, you may be able to ask someone who knows more about it and show the picture of how huge his comb is now. But, I don't believe his comb is the cause of the issues with his eyes, Warsha.
