My rooster is not well

You will have to give us some information to go on. Did you just get him? Have you brought in any new birds he's been exposed to? What are the symptoms? How old is he? We need to know something to be able to help you? Sorry your first post is for this reason.

I've a leghorn rooster, he's 2 years 2 months young, he's in my room all day long i don't have any other roosters at all, i just had him when he was like yellow chick the other pink one died but he's with me since his childhood i love him so so much, i treat him like a baby, i kiss him he's always in my lap i feed him from my hands, he's always in my room with me, today he jumped from stairs a very long Jump he did that before but he was okay before but this time his foot is swollen, idk what's that he wasn't being able to straight he's very brave tho. & now his palm is swollen, and it's looking so painful, he jumped two three times when he was in my lap not that long jump but just a little one but now i think he's in so much pain he finds difficultly while walking and I'm more then worried he's no rooster to me, he's my son instead
& there's no vet where i live, so tell me what's am supposed to do, I've been crying

His feet

I don't see a picture of the bottom of his feet, but it could be bumblefoot, a staph infection of the pad of the foot. Is there a little black scab on the pad of the foot? It would require some surgery to get the infection out and to treat it and wrap up his leg. It's probably a two person thing, one to hold and one to do the surgery. There are many threads here about bumblefoot, even with photos of the way to treat it, for you to read about. It's fairly common, starts with a scrape or a cut and germs get in and cause infection.


He sounds like such a sweetheart. I'm sorry he's hurting. It can be very painful, of course, but it's not uncommon. i've had to treat it many, many times.

Honey, that is bumblefoot. Trust me, you really need to fix this. The thing with a staph infection is that if you do not get out the plug, it can go systemic and eventually kill the bird. One thing you can do right away is first is get very warm water with a couple of tablespoons of Epsom Salts dissolved in it and soak his foot for awhile. Until you can find the nerve to cut out that bumble/plug, slather on antibiotic ointment, put gauze over the black spot and wrap with either Vet Wrap (stretchy bright colored bandage you get at the feed store) or a strip of T-shirt material you can go over and in between the toes and wrap up the leg and tape with medical tape. BUT, only do this a couple of days to see if the plug may sort of "lift up" for you to get an Xacto knife around the outer edges and pull it out, pack the hole and re-wrap.
The thing you can't do is leave that in or it can get worse.

Bless his heart, I hope you can fix his foot. He seems like such a great rooster! And you are a very caring owner. You just need to learn how to fix this. All us chicken owners have to learn to do a lot of stuff we'd rather not! I sure have. Best of luck to you with this. If you were close, I'd come help you get through it the first time.
