PLEASE buy yourself a trail camera!

For $50 you will know what got your chicken(s)!

We can only guess and surmise based on our interpretation of your posts.

With a trail camera you will know and can post pictures of how to or how not to keep chickens safe.

A secure coop, and securing your chickens inside it at night, would be a step in the right direction too, since most losses seem to occur from dusk till dawn...

Caretaker of a lovely mixed flock including: australorp, plymouth rocks, wyandotte, d'uccles, silkies, EEs, andalusian, and a few seramas, plus a golden retriever, great dane, and three cats.  I always swore that I wouldn't succumb to chicken math.  I lied.
