The feathers coming in on sides of the chest on this one are the same color as the wings. Does that mean pullet?
Not necessarily. Just means it's probably a Production Red or Rhode Island Red, in which case, comb development would be the most reliable early indicator. Couldn't tell from the picture if those were black feathers or dark red.
What about this one?


Black chest feathers, it's a cockerel, either a Leghorn or Welsummer.
 
These are my "outside" chicks, 4 weeks












Obviously the last two pics are roos but what about the first pic?

Same feathering as the two black pullets but exhibits a male personality from time to time. Also, the only one with ten toes
