I received 4 duckling a few weeks ago now they are approx. 7-8 week's old. One is created 3 are not but came from same nest. Also, the crested one seems to be slower and has seizures. I hold her against my chest and it lasts 10-20 seconds. Someone said Bali? I knew you all would know. Thank you all so much. Oh they are all black.

Sorry having trouble attaching photo Again
I'll try again later. It keeps saying embedded an image but not working

Balis are crested and stand up like a runner. If that's what you have, that's really cool! I hope she's OK and will stop having seizures.

I'm not able to attach a photo but if you look at a previous thread titled incorrectly, Help please bumblefoot?, I was able to post one there. One is crested 3 not. I would appreciate actually knowing what they are as I said I was told Bali runner mix but I don't know thanks

Thanks. Yeah, it looks to me like a Bali or a Bali mix. If they stand up straight, like a Runner, they are probably part Bali. I would say whoever told they are Bali Runner mixes was right. Very pretty ducks, by the way. I love that breed!

Thank you duck girl! I've never had ducks until these. They stand straight up when they run. I have six eggs incubating from their mothers sibling and same male father. She looks like these babies but he looks like a drake (green head and band around his neck). I was told he was a runner but he looks like a regular ol drake to me though he doesn't fly far. Maybe more crested on the way but will they have seizures too? So sad.

Cool! Those are nice looking ducks, so I'm glad you can get more! I don't think all the crested will have seizures, but I don't know because I don't know what originally caused the seizures. I'll let you know if I figure anything out about that.

No not all crested duck have seizures, I've never actually heard of it happening that often. I wouldn't worry. My 3 that are crested are happy and healthy, never had health problems. When they are older, during around March-May pen all the females together separated from the males, or they might kill the crested females during the mating process.

Actually, Bali ducks and Crested Runners are the same thing.

OK. I love Balis! No idea where you get them, but they're really cool! I need a crested duck ... and all those other breeds!
