Hatching
Around a month ago I bought five baby chicks from a feed store. I was told they were all Old English Bantams, and the two larger ones were just a bit older. They told me they'd give me one for free if I bought all five because they were "trying to get rid of them."
Here's their baby pics! Cute huh? They all looked quite similar, especially to a less-experienced chicken enthusiast like me.
Now that they're older, though, I'm pretty sure the big ones are not actually Old English Bantams. I feel pretty stupid.
Here are the ones who I'm unsure about. These ladies are twice the size of the others, and I believe the silver one might be an Egyptian Fayoumi? I love her but she beats up the other chicks. Not sure what the gold-colored girl is but my aunt told me she may be a Buttercup.
Then there's this spotted gal...
These last two I am more sure are Old English Bantams.
I feel quite silly for not being sure of the breed when I bought them!
