Chicks- Red Jungle Fowl, Buff Orpingtons,White Rocks

Congrats on the chicks! Just FYI, chances are negligible that the birds are real Red Junglefowl. Even zoo stock these days is often impure - and you won't find even something close to pure without shelling out some serious $$$. Usually in the hundreds if not thousands of dollars range. Most likely what you have are some type of Old English Game Bantam or cross thereof. They are cute, whatever they are.

Thank you @QueenMisha !

I placed the order for the chicks from Welp Hatchery. They infored me that their chicks actually came from Privette Hatchery in NM. I always knew they won't be pure strain Red Jungle Fowl. Also, I actually prefer the not-totally-skittish and wild ones... But a semblance of correct information from Hatchery would have been nice!

I will keep you guys posted on how they turn up.

On that note, whats the best place in the US to get close-to-pure Red jungle fowl? No one seems to know! I tried to get hold of Kong to no avail
