i'm giving my 6 week old chick baby roo corid. I already have the measurements of how you make it and how much you're supposed to feed them, i'm gonna treat my hole flock with it. It's 2 tb per gallon of water. The sick baby chick who's 7 weeks old is the one i'm worried about he's really down but he LOVES water.. I was wondering since the treatment is 5 days how much water is he allowed to ingest? He drinks so much water but i'm scared he can die since it has corid solution inside, is it okay to let him drink all he wants or is there a specific amount of water from the gallon hes supposed to have? Please help me guys, I'm really scared he may have ingested too much, he's like a family member to me already and i couldn't cope if i lost him.. Please tell me how much of the solution is okay for him to ingest? :((((

I wouldn't worry too much about that if you know you're putting the right amount in the water. The corid will help. I have a hen that the vet didn't think would make it, and she's alive now thanks to some good 'ol corid. Just as long as you're sure that's the right amount, you should be fine. Hope your cockerel recovers!

Are you seeing signs of Cocci?
You mention that one is sick at 7 weeks old and is drinking a lot of water. What are his symptoms? I understand drinking lots of water, but what are the other signs of being sick, lethargic, puffed up, full crop, is he eating, what does the poop look like, etc.?
What types of food/treats are you feeding?
Can you post photos of the poop and of the chicks?

As far as worrying about drinking too much Corid, that is unlikely. Corid is gentle so I wouldn't worry about that.

Dosage for Cocci is
1 1/2 teaspoons Corid powder per gallon or
2 teaspoons of 9.6% Corid liquid per gallon
Give for 5-7 days - make sure this is the ONLY water available during that time period. Mix a fresh batch at least once a day.
