I'm in the east bay and have been putting them and now coercing into the coop around 8. Is this too early? I put 2 small solar garden lights inside but maybe it's not bright enough? They no longer scream endlessly after I close the doors and it's darker, just a few minutes. They're 5 weeks old and have been in the coop for 5 days, first day in the run today.
I'm also asking because I'd like to know what time to set the automatic chicken door. ($15 on jet.com for add-a-motor).
