First time coop build - feedback wanted!

Hi everyone, hoping for some feedback on our coop that we have finally close to done. Specifically curious if the ventilation looks sufficient. The coop itself is 6x6 and the attached run is 10x6. I don't have any interior pictures handy yet but the roost is elevated over where the back across from where the nesting box will be and feeder/waterer will be below the poop tray. Both windows will be open most of the summer aside from heavy rain and the roof is open at the top between the joists - secured with hardware cloth of course.

Very cute coop, but more ventilation and light will be better. Add more openings; they can be covered in hardware cloth for better airflow and covered in plastic for winter. Are you roofing the run? Dryer is better! Also, fix the base so no predators can dig into or under it. Mary
 
Thanks Mary - I'll look at adding some more openings, maybe an extra window next to the door. I should have mentioned there is a skirt buried about 6 inches down that extends about 30 inches out around the entire run. And yes the run will have the same roofing as the coop, that is hopefully tomorrow's project.
 
I think you have enough Windows. It is about the natural flow of air. So have plenty of soffit and gable vents. Make them shutter-able, so they can be closed in upwind in winter. I see you have chosen a nice shady spot.
 
Got the rest of the roof panels on tonight, so the run is finished. Just need to build the nesting box and wrap up some trim work and paint. I didn't get a picture with the roof done but here is the rest. Also some of our girls enjoying the rest of the yard...

Well we finally finished up! Once the run and everything was functional we took a break to address some other projects, but finally got the nesting box all built and a coat of sealer on the coop. I still have some finishing trim work to do, but functionally were all set. Just in time too our oldest girls are just over 17 weeks now so hoping to see eggs in the next month.

Their perch is out for cleaning but it runs over the poop shelf which is filled with Sweet PDZ. Grit and Oyster Shell below next to waterer and feeder...

It looks very nice! I do think that the coop needs more windows, for ventilation and light. Also, use locks or something on the latches to keep out predators, and make sure that there are no openings larger than 1/2" in the coop. It is very good looking! Mary
