Terrible photo. These chicks were found just after Easter. A woman had bought these from Tractor Supply for easter baskets and tried to return them to Tractor Supply. I found all of this out after talking to the cashier when I found them sitting in a box out in the parking lot. I didn't ask any questions but I think they are Red Sex Links or a variation of the breed. They are a rusty color with white plumage. We have recently (two years ago) received two Black Sex Links in a mixed pullet order and they have worked out really well.

I can't tell from the picture what they are, but from your description they sound like red sex links. Mostly red with white in the tail and wings. Glad you found them and took them in! They will have a much better life with you.

Another terrible photo.

We have enough chickens as it is but a few more eggs isn't going to hurt. I've looked around and think you are right. They are some kind of Red Sex Link chicken but it doesn't really matter. If the coloring holds true to the description, I got 6 pullets.

It's blurry, but it's definitely a red sex link pullet. If they all look like that then they are all pullets. Cockerels would be mostly white.

Aw, that's terrible someone would be so irresponsible to do that to some poor chickens! I'm glad you found those girls and gave them a good home. They are probably Golden Sex Links, like the ones I bought from Tractor Supply. I have 24 and love all of them, except for the mean one that pecks me and draws blood. We might be eating or rehoming her...
