A neighbors cat brought this to us We fed and took care of for 6 weeks  then some on said it was a wild hawk. took it to the woods and freed it. Had 5 toes. It chirped  and screeched. What   is it ?

It certainly isn't a hawk. It looks like a bearded chicken, I'm not sure what breed.

It is definitely a chicken and NOT a hawk.  I hope it has survived being let loose in the wild.   Inaccurate information is worse than none at all.
