Never ending swarming pesty FLIES!!!!!!

Can you share a picture of your run or house? My take is if you have a fly problem that bad, you have a litter problem (or lack thereof) causing it.

Fly predators are very effective at minimizing flies around horse barns. They kill the immature fly before it has a chance to mature and they are so tiny you don't even see them. Many horse supply sites such as Valley Vet carry them and pack of 5000 will set you back about 20 bucks. Might be worth a try...no chemicals and no monitoring traps.

Ours is caused by our mulberry and pear trees :/ This is our first summer with poultry and I'm hoping they like mulberries. If not, hopefully they like the fly feast under the tree lol

The coop has about 2inches of pine chips in there we stir and add more every week

How many birds are contained in that run area? And are they contained there full time? How often do you clean it out?

You suggested you are doing the 'deep litter' and if you are attempting to get it to compost naturally adding DE is detrimental, and 2" is not nearly deep enough to support composting... Also bird density plays a huge factor, if the poop is 'caking' the bird density is too high and you will need to shovel it out...

8 8week old chickens right now will be 7 here in a few weeks. The coop we fully clean out every few weeks and replace with new litter
