Coyote

Went out of town for a few days. Lost 3 hens.

Dogs just now went crazy and I came out the back door and saw a coyote 30 feet from the hen house. Of course my rifle was in the other room. I ran and grabbed it and was able to get off a shot at 100 yards with a .22 plinkin round. Looked like I hit it because it jumped and ran away but I can't be sure. It was small. A bit smaller than my biggest dog which it didn't seem scared of.

Will it come back??

Depends on how hungry he gets. He knows where chickens live.
