Egg Eating

Okay so now I go back outside there's a smaller egg, brown, and she's the only one that lays brown eggs and she's picking at it and my other two hens come over and start picking at it I snatch it up. Could she possibly have laid two eggs in a day I know it was not laying there the first time I found the first egg. Please please someone help
What are you feeding?

Laying feed. Lettuce. Some odds and ends vegetables. They love watermelon
Egg eating is usually an indication that they aren't getting enough protein. Layer feed has just enough protein to support egg production, if it's the only thing they get fed. Too many treats will dilute the overall protein intake. Lay off the extras or switch to a feed with a higher protein content.

Do you have a suggestion at what brand of feed? Also my Americana is in the nesting box laying an egg now. And the Egg and chicken the Delaware she acts like she wants to go up there and this bad stuff happen this morning so

I prefer the 20% protein content of purina Flock Raiser with crushed oyster shell offered on the side. Safe for all ages, stages, and genders; no egg eating or feather picking issues; and I don't have to worry about non-laying birds getting too much calcium.
