HELP no one has answered me yet--My 7 day old chick with spraddled out leg.

Hello, My chick has one leg out.  I have seen the video using the straw and rubber band, also read the description of using a tape/band aid.  Which treatment do you suggest is best.  I tried the straw one, but, don't think I had the distance between her leggs right.  What is the distance it should be?

I've used bandaid. . It ended up dieing. . But I'd try it again if I had to..

Far as distance look at other chicks.. put it about that far

she's doing really well.  Just her right leg is out and she has a hard time walking.  I finally got the rubber band with the straw on it, like the Garden Hen guy's video.  I made it to be 1 1/4".  So far it's seem comfortable on her.  She is napping right now.
