Wheaton Maran and Jubilee Orpington, Wondering if we got scammed....

I am not an expert at either breed but they seem to be as advertised. I cannot say whether or not they are quality specimens though.
 
I thought it was strange the wheatons were so dark with black flecks and marks all over.
The jubilees looked great in colour but the male's feathers will not stay down.
 
I don't have Marans, but I do have Faverolles. Some hatcheries have such pullets people think they are cockerels. Wheaten can be a tough color to breed.
 
How much did they cost you ?
Jubilee orpingtons are pretty expensive here ,and I have not seen any Wheaton means for sale . They look pretty though

Wondering if they are a black tail buff crossed with a wheaten maran.
got a "deal" on the Jubilee at $80

Found out the breeder is using a new name and is former mill that was shut down.
My fault for not checking closer.
 
Well Your marans have slate legs which means they could be pure ?
I have splash marans and legs are about the same color.i couldn't really see the orpingtons ..but still they look beautiful:)
