Chicks and Ducklings Together?

One of my hens are broody right now, so we were going to buy some fertilized eggs. But today my mom's friend found a abandoned one day old duckling. She doesn't want it, so we offered to take it (maybe). I was wondering if Rosilea (the broody chicken), would raise the duckling. If so, we probably won't buy chicken eggs, because I don't want her to abandon the eggs because of the duckling. So now i'm thinking, what if we bought chicks, and took in the ducking, and slipped all of them under Rosilea? Would that work? Would she except any of them? If she does, would the chicks and ducklings get along? Any suggestions?

Thank You!

It all depends on the hen. I have never tried with baby ducks just with other chicks with some of my broody hens and some will accept them and others would kill them or try too.

Good luck with what ever you decide.
