I can (comfortably) do 7 full grown hens in this coop. But I recently got some more, we are up to 12! I got more than usual because I ALWAYS lose a couple in the summers, no matter how hard I try. So far nobody has had any problems and I am getting the feeling that everybody is going to live. Don't get me wrong I'd be ecstatic if that happens, but they would be really cramped in the coop. I have seven "babies" who haven't started laying but should in 2-3 months, but when they hit a growth spurt I may have some problems.That coop is adorable!! If you build a bigger coop, I'd think this smaller one would be snatched up quickly if you listed it on CL locally. Or just have two coops/two different flocks??? We have THREE coops and runs here - our big girl coop/run, our bantam coop/run, and our serama coop/runIt's a regular coop town.
