I am trying to get a better understanding of the genes required to make a sex link with a RIR roo. ( I know not all White Rock hens will work since some do not have the silver factor gene.) My preference was to use a Light Sussex or Delaware hen which I believe should work 100% of the time?
RIR X Delaware = Red sex link. Would the Lt Sussex produce a red sex link too?
Could you use a Coronation Sussex hen?
