Hi All!

My husband and I are new to raising chickens ( for eggs and tick control!) and we started this year brooding 8 chicks. We have Buff Orpingtons, Easter Eggers,Australorps, and Barred Rocks. They are just over two weeks old and we are having such a fun time watching them develop and grow.

This community has been such a great resource and I look forward to using it throughout our journey! I am a photographer by trade so I will have LOTS of pictures ( sometimes an obnoxious amount) of the entire process!

Welcome to BYC! Those are some adorable chicks - you should definitely enter them in some of the online contests, there are a lot of chick ones going on, and it's pretty fun. (Look for the section Online Poultry Show)
