Sorry to annoy you but when can I expect a crow. There isn't any other rooster in 10 miles.
Not 100% sure, but I want to say pullet. Time will tell..
That's a cockerel. Notice how there is a darker 'patchier' shade of blue through the wings/shoulder and back. A pullet would be a fairly uniform shade all over.
Both cockerels. This is my first ever post here.Although I read posts often . . . very helpful community!
My hen hatched two Easter Eggers this spring (fertilized eggs purchased from Meyer hatchery). The following are pictures of the 2 Easter Eggers at 5-6 weeks.
I think the second one might be a rooster, but maybe the first one is, too. What do you think?
Easter Egger #1 "Gimlet"
Easter Egger #2 "Goblet"
They can, I would post pictures of your chick.I have 5 EEs, about 6 weeks old....2 of them are getting some black tail feathers with that shiny black/green/blue sheen on them....is that a clear sign for boys? One of them is definitely a rooster, comb is really red, plus I think he was trying to crow this morning (!), but the others comb is iffy. So, do EE girls get shiny tail feathers?
