I got Dr. Giggles as a chick at the d&b on 3/11. Gigi has a much bigger comb and wattles than the others, but they are all different breeds...

The doctor started crowing about a week ago, but hasn't done it everyday or at consistent times of day.

I want some other opinions because I've read elsewhere in the forums that (1) Orpington are relatively hard to sex until they get older, (2) Orpington roos don't usually start to crow until 10-12 weeks, and (3) sometimes a dominant hen will crow. I'd like to be more confident before giving G-sauce away.

I'm pretty sure G sauce is a roo. My buff hens hatched on 3/2 and neither have any comb or waddle development even close to that.

You have a handsome cockerel

Thanks y'all. I lucked out and found a nearby farm where the doctor will have an 11-hen harem all to himself. I appreciate the quick responses so much because without them I probably would have waited another week or two.
