Hen or rooster?

I was talking to an ol' man a while back and he told me that if I do this and the legs kicked it was a rooster and if the dangle it's a hen... He said its best to do when they're around 2 days old.

It is fun to do that for play. You. Have a 50/50 shot at being right but it's truly a old wives tale. Not accurate whatsoever. However, there are accurate ways to know. At about 6 to 8 weeks. Look at the Comb. I'd it red? Pullets Comb wont redden until point of lay. Also check hackle and saddle feathers. Males tend to be pointy females more rounding you want them sexaa11ed young hatchery professionals are 90% accurate with vent seeing at hatch. Have fun with tales but remember that they are not a accurate way to sex.
