I got my first chickens from Tractor Supply March 20th. I've had a wild ride. My wife and I are looking to homestead, planting edible landscapes, and raising our own chickens for food and for eggs (predominantly for eggs, with a priority in tick eradication). I'm glad to be a part of this site, and looking forward to you constant guidance to get me over the hump of pure newbness and into the fun that is chicken rearing. The coop is a work in progress 4'x8'x4'. Still have to roof it and figure a few things out but it's plumbed and the feeders were built with ideas I found here and all over the web.

Hi and welcome to BYC - thanks for all the photos! Your coop seems to be coming along nicely - well done.

You'll find lots of info in the Learning Centre
https://www.backyardchickens.com/atype/1/Learning_Center, and if you have a specific topic in mind, just type it in the search box - there's a wealth of information on past and present threads.

You may wish to consider joining your state thread as it will put you in touch with other BYC members in your area - https://www.backyardchickens.com/t/270925/find-your-states-thread

All the best

Nice build my only suggestion would be - appears roost bar is narrow side up, chickens prefer wide side up, so they can lay their heads down on their feet (in winter this keeps them warmer.)
