Hello from Western NC- the wife

My husband (Bearded Walrus) has already introduced himself. Funny that he gets on here before me;). We are new to chickens. We got our first flock in March. We decided on six, one died:(, so we went and got six more. Makes sense, right?! Then in April, we some how ended up with 10 more in a span of 5 days, for a total of 21. We have buff Orpingtons, a cuckoo Orpington, comets, SDW OEG bantam, EEs, some kind of Orpington mix, SL wyandottes, Polish (one frizzle), Cochin bantam, EE bantam (I think), and one undetermined bantam. Love them all. My husband just posted our coop, The Last One Inn, in the coop section. We have one awesome son that loves the chickens as much as we do and my brother helps out when he is here. We own four businesses, homeschool and now watch chickens- so it's busy around here! Wouldn't have it any other way, though. Best wishes!

Hello and welcome to BYC! :frow

Oh I am sorry you already lost a baby. :hugs But you had the right idea....lose one and bring home six more! Ha!

Enjoy all those babies!! Make yourself at home here and ask any questions you may have.

Welcome to our roost! :-)

I set fire to the rain! Watch it pour as I, touched your face. Well it burn while I cried, because I heard it screaming out your name. And I threw us into flames. I knew that was the last time, the last time...I set fire to the rain! -Adele
