Good day ya'll! I am a brand new chicken keeper and am poking around trying to learn all I can! I bought my first 7 hicks April 30 from TSC. They are all bantams, 6 clearly gl sebrights one mystery chick (who happens to just be the sweetest thing!)

On Monday I added 3 Olive Eggers to the group and all is going swimmingly so far! Those little OE's put my bantams into perspective on size from the get go, lol! But, I adore their demeaner. Great chicks!

I look forward to getting tonknow you all.

Hi welcome-byc.gif

Glad you could join the flock! It sure sounds like you are having a ball with your new chicks clap.gif Theye sure lots of fun and very rewarding. Watching their personalities emerge is great to watch. The learning centre has some great articles that I'm sure you find very helpful ~ http://www.backyardchickens.com/atype/1/Learning_Center

Good luck and be sure to ask any questions. Everyone here to help and very friendly.

Enjoy BYC frow.gif

Welcome to BYC! I'm glad you joined us! :)

I set fire to the rain! Watch it pour as I, touched your face. Well it burn while I cried, because I heard it screaming out your name. And I threw us into flames. I knew that was the last time, the last time...I set fire to the rain! -Adele

Look at my flock page! http://www.backyardchickens.com/a/bantamfan4lifes-flock

Does the mystery chick have feathered feet?  If so, look up mille fleur d'uccle chick pictures and see if that might be what you have.  D'uccles are pretty sweet little birds.  I'm envious of your sebrights - I've always wanted those!!  They look like little works of art when grown!

Welcome to the forum! :)

Caretaker of a lovely mixed flock including: australorp, plymouth rocks, wyandotte, d'uccles, silkies, EEs, andalusian, and a few seramas, plus a golden retriever, great dane, and three cats.  I always swore that I wouldn't succumb to chicken math.  I lied.

No, the feet have no feathers. If (s)he were a dog I would call he(r) brindle in color. (S)has a different temperament than the sebrights as well as coloring. Since I can't find any info I'm guessing mixed. I love the uniqueness of the colors.

The first two are more recent, the second 2 from abt 1 week old. I had posted it in the breed question section ☺️
