Are Blue Orpington's different in color to the Lavender???

I know it sounds stupid, but I'm color blind and can't see the difference (if there is one)...Every time I ask a seller they go into a genetics description...I just want to know what the difference is in appearance...

Depending on the shade of blue, I would describe it as a darker, smokier matte color whereas a Lavender is lighter, more diluted, and almost kind of shimmery. Like platinum, almost. ☺
