I have looked at hundreds of chicken coops in the thread show your coop but I have not seen anyone use metal siding is there a reason why? I have priced out going metal siding and it is cheaper than T1-11 or cedar siding so I was planning on making one using some nice barn red siding with white trim. I like the idea of not having to paint it when I am done. I plan to build a coop for about 15-20 hens and a rooster. I am new to chickeneering so I would love to hear some comments regarding the use of metal siding. I plan to add some insulation. I live in SW WA State it can be cold in the winter rarely into the teens and the summer can get to 100 but not often. My plan is to build a coop in the 8' x 10' size give or take. It will have a run separate from the coop and I plan to free range them we have a ton of bugs and 6.3 acres that sits at the end of my 1/4 mile long driveway.
