Hello I have a flock of about 26 bourbon red poults, used to be 30. They are 4 different hatches all within a month of each other. They turkeys that are mainly affected are the older ones. At one moment one seems perfectly normal then the next it is light and lethargic and eventually die. We just moved them to a new area with straw and they just started dying.

This started happening around 3 days ago. Two died today.
What do you think is wrong, how can I fix it?

No there weren't but luckily we got some antibiotics into their system and they stopped dying. But we are down to 19 instead of 30.

could be coccidiosis. I lost a big chunk of my young flock to this last year. Treat all with Amprol as per vetinary instructions.

They really need to be kept very clean. Perhaps in smaller numbers so less poop a round to deal with. I had around 25 poults and 24 chicks in the same brooder coop and small run. Far too many birds in a small area. I learned my lesson ;-)
