I got this chick for my birthday, from a friend, as a sexed pullet...now im wondering if that is true...please help! Lol. Hatch date was 3/26, so chick is 8 weeks old.

At eight weeks it is looking like a rooster. A few more weeks you should know for sure.

Bummer! Are polish supposed to be slower to mature?

I said it looks like a rooster, I didn't say it was, I don't recall the combs being that red at that age on mine, but I could be wrong. That's why I would wait a few more weeks. The topknot looks female. It is at that stage where it's harder to say, especially from pictures. Maybe someone who has a young one currently will chime in.

He developed comb, wattles, and streamers within a week or two...

No...lol i was having trouble posting the pictures. Undoubtedly my husband likes these roos, so guess ill get a hen too.
Mine ended up being trouble, he would just mate and run. He was pretty, but drove the hens nuts.
