This is a dog house that I'm converting into a chicken coop. I have 2 Rhodebar pullets and 2 Cinnamon Queen pullets. Please let me know if you spot anything I should change. Constructive criticism is welcomed seeing as though I'm very new to all this. The run is going to be 14' long by 10' deep and 6' tall, completely enclosed in fencing to protect from predators. I don't have pictures of the run area because it isn't finished yet. The chicks are only 4 days old so I have a little time to finish everything before they are outside full time. One last question, what is the best type of paint to use on the coop?

Looks great.. I think your chicken entrance is a little big.. too big of opening allows wind in. Which probably fine for summer. .
I'd put some kind of drip edge on nesting box side.. so water can't run down wall and in between nesting boxes..

Thank you for the advice. I will be adding something to the door so it's not quite as big. It was a friend's dog house so I'm slowly but surely getting everything in working order for a chicken coop. I will have to look into a drip edge as well.
 
I actually had not thought about ventilation. I'm completely new to all of this so I appreciate the advice. Do I just need to cut some holes in the front and back and cover them with chicken wire? My chicks are only 4 days old, so I have some time to make sure everything is right before they will be in the coop.

If you have holes I wouldn't put them on the same location just opposite of one another. That would create a draft. Put your ventilation up top on one side and down lower on the other. Perhaps even on opposite corners. Allows air in but not a straight shot out.

I think this will fix the issue of door size. It still allows the full door to be opened for cleaning purposes. At the same time I can open just the small door to reduce wind and cold in the winter.
