I was wondering what everyones favorite breeds of laying chicken were? I'm looking for breeds, and I figured what's a better place to start than asking others opinions.

Thanks for reminding me of all that(Sorry that I am so new at all this!). I don't care about color, but they would need to be hardy to heat and would be for egg laying only. The birds would have to be okay with being confined.

Are you looking for breeds strictly for production rates? Are there specific colors of eggs you want to get from your birds? Are you wanting birds that are good pets/super friendly, birds that are good foragers that can spend a lot of their time out finding food or birds that do well in confinement, etc?
