Introducing a duckling to a full grown female

I have a lonely female Khaki that lost two friends to predators within the last few weeks. We have 5 Pekin's that are 2 months old that aren't allowing her to hang out with them. I want to find her a friend or two but I'm having a tough time finding full grown Khaki's. If I got a duckling or two, would she take care of them or would I need to keep them indoors until they are a bit older? They all are in the garage in a divided house. I want to be sure we have the predator problem taken care of before putting any of them outside. Any thoughts would be appreciated....

You can keep working on integrating your 2 month old pekins.
If you get babies, you will need to brood them separate and introduce them and may have the same issue as you do with the pekins - they kind of form their bonds with those they are raised with and it can take a bit to accept new friends into the group.

May I ask why they need to be brooded separately from her? She seems like she would take anything in. If she did take them in then would I still need to brood them separate? My heart is breaking for her. She wanders and looks all over for her friends. Tonight it looked like she was even asking a bird to be her friend :(

I'm so sorry for your loss. I spent a lot of hours just sitting near my ducks when they were recovering from a flock mate's death.

I had trouble integrating my new ducklings into the flock.

It may work since you only have one duck. But if you try it be ready to step in immediately to protect the duckling(s). I had to separate mine in the duck known by erecting a see through fence so they could see and interact with each other.

They didn't integrate until the ducklings started reacting appropriately to head bobs and water flirting.
